Do you have the heart of a caregiver?

If you enjoy making a difference in someone's life, working as a personal caregiver is a rewarding career!  We are frequently looking for individuals to work in our In Home Services and Consumer Directed Services programs.

Personal care attendants must be 18 years of age, pass a background check through the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and the Employee Disqualification List. Attendants must also complete an employee eligibility check using E-Verify through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Potential Job Duties:

  • Personal Care – assisting with dressing, grooming, bathing, or toileting
  • Homemaker Chores – cleaning, cooking, and laundry
  • Errands – grocery shopping, medication pickup, and general errands
  • Transportation – grocery shopping, doctor appointments, and other essential transportation needs


Caregivers work directly for the individual needing assistance in our CDS program where the person with the disability is the employer.
Caregivers are employees of empower: abilities, providing care for our In Home clients.
