Do you like to dine-out? You can help people with disabilities by becoming a RAP surveyor! This secret-shopper survey can be done at any dining location, at your convenience. To become a RAP surveyor, you will participate in a short virtual training, learn how to use our survey tool, and then make a plan to dine out. You will use our online survey tool to assess the following areas of any restaurant; parking, entrance, dining room, and restroom. Then fill out the survey, hit submit, and we will take it from there.
When you help us find an accessible restaurant, we will award them our RAP decal to display which lets people with mobility challenges know that this restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Restaurants that do not pass the assessment are contacted with information and offered our assistance in making needed changes or modifications.
We promote restaurants that are accessible, so people with mobility limitations can dine with confidence. Help us increase access and raise awareness by becoming a RAP surveyor!Contact us
Ramp building is a great group or family volunteer opportunity. You don’t have to know how to use a saw or a drill to help someone with a disability get safe access in and out of their home! Lack of safe access can lead to social isolation or increase risk of injury during an emergency.
You can help us build free ramps for low-income people with disabilities. Our construction professionals will lead you through every step of the construction process. Help someone get safe access to their home and community by becoming a RAMPS volunteer.Contact us
This is a perfect opportunity for an individual, family or group to have a great time while making an impact on someone with a disability. We have special events throughout the year and need your help with set-up, staffing, and clean-up efforts. You can help with our dances, expos, or special events and make a memory to last a lifetime. Check out our events page to see what opportunities are available and contact us to volunteer!Contact us
Volunteering is a donation of your time, but if that doesn’t work for you, we also accept donations of money or in-kind items.
