Empower: abilities can help you file an application for Rent Rebates.
Put money back into your own pockets through the Missouri Property Tax Credit program. Assistance filling out applications will be offered at no charge on Wednesday, March 11.
Empower: abilities staff will be available from 10am-4pm (beginning last applications at 3:15pm) to assist individuals completing their Missouri Property Tax Credit applications-commonly called "Rent Rebate" or "Circuit Breaker." Staff will discuss the qualifications to participate and assist with completing and submitting the applications.
To successfully complete the process individuals will need to bring their Annual Income documentation (1099, and W-2's if applicable) along with a Verification of Rent Paid form completed by the landlord for renters, or a receipt of paid property taxes for homeowners.
